Renaissance History Importer
Bring existing Renaissance Reading Practice quiz history into Shark Reader. The importer is optional: for new quizzes after setup, Shark Reader's Automatic Quiz Email is the recommended ongoing method.
Windows
Windows 10 or later with Microsoft Edge. No system-wide Python install is required; first launch downloads and verifies a private official Python runtime.
How it works
- Download and unzip the importer for your computer.
- Sign in to Renaissance and open Progress → My Completed Work.
- Run the importer and keep the Renaissance window open.
- The importer continuously saves Renaissance-Current.sharkreader in Downloads.
- Open that file on the iPhone, or use Shark Reader → Settings → Advanced → Import .sharkreader File.
What the importer preserves
Quiz score, exact AR points when exposed, AR/ATOS level, quiz date, book metadata, and the current Renaissance reading range when available. Long imports checkpoint after every validated quiz and can resume without starting over.
Privacy
The importer works with Renaissance pages you sign into yourself. It does not place your Renaissance password, cookies, authorization headers, or browser session tokens in the Shark Reader import file. The Windows version uses a temporary Edge profile and removes it after a normal run.
